Autumn colours of yellow and golden brown on the trees and bracken can make this the most spectacular season at Tombain. Strathspey runs at a slower pace in the Autumn, and while most of the attractions remain all year round, they are that bit quieter when the schools are back. A real treat is a visit to Balmoral, which is a short drive away over the spectacular Tomintoul to Cockbridge road, which is much less challenging without the snow!
The fabulous Jydepejsen log stove is a real focal point of the cottage, and while Tombain is a warm cottage, there is nothing like a log stove to create that cosy atmosphere when it gets cold outside. A perfect place and a perfect time for that quiet or romantic getaway, whether for a weekend or longer.
